"Detach" is the latest album from UK-based independent electronic producer Northcape. This collection of melodic electronica maintains and develops Northcape's own distinctive style, while it moves through a range of moods from upbeat to downtempo and merges elements of genres from ambient through IDM to house. Most importantly the 14 tracks on this album emphasise the communication of thoughts, images and emotions much more than electronic sound manipulation.

Northcape (or North Cape) make warm, refreshing and relaxing, genre-defying melodic electronica and ambient music, beats, and downbeat IDM. Northcape's brand of downtempo chilled electronica is influenced by a wide variety of genres including ambient, IDM, house, breaks and other types of music, but is made in a very intuitive way and transcends genre boundaries.
