What?

MPPlaya is a database driven music program which can be used to organize all your music in an easy way. You can make play lists either selective or based on SQL queries. You can use it to just play music in a Stand-A-Lone mode, or you can use it Hands-On and mix tracks on the beat.

At home: The ultimate partner during a party, of just as a system which produces your background music. Because you will be in charge of what type of music is played. You will have complete control over the music being played. At party's MPPlaya is a perfect partner as well, the user interface is made in such a way that your friends won't need to go through an extensive manual, but can work the system within minutes.

DJ: De developer of MPPlaya is a DJ himself who is used to play music with Turntables (you know those machines which are capable of playing those big black disks), mixable Cd-players en now also with the computer. All function you would expect from a set of mixable CD-players you will find in MPPlaya, and more. How about a pitch with a precision of (0,01% per step), a configurable break function, of the match speed function to spend more time constructing the mix you want instead of searching for the right speed. All of this is possible with MPPlaya

Which formats?

At the moment MPPlaya supports MP3, WMA, OGG, MPC, FLAC, APE & WAV files. Because compression techniques are born every day, MPPlaya keeps on changing to be able to play almost every popular music format.

System requirements?

To start working with MPPlaya you'll need a 300 MHz Pentium II with Windows 98 and 64 Mb memory. A fast processor and more memory will always make it perform better.

Hardware controllers?

Besides the mouse and keyboard, MPPlaya is can be controlled using the PCDJ DAC-3 (available in version 1.4.1.0), the Hercules DJ Console, different infrared remote controls. You can even build your own low cost (~25 euro) USB remote control using a certain type of USB joystick.

Software controllers?

Besides hardware controller, MPPlaya comes with different software controllers which work via a network connection (even via Internet). These remote controls enable mpplaya to be controlled by different people.
