Welcome to the New Mixposure everyone! I just wanted to take a few moments and share some information.

This site is not affiliated with the Mixposure of Old. I was a member there along with many of the existing members on this site. When Kyle let the domain go, we decided it would be a great idea to buy it. We tried to buy it from Kyle but he did not return our call. Instead we purchased it from a third party vendor.

That being said, are we the same as the Mixposure of old? Yes and No. Yes in that we provide a lot of the same features and No because we provide a lot of features that the old Mix did not offer.

I know some people had a great experience with the old Mixposure. Kyle built a great place for many musicians to hang their hat. It was ashame that it went down the way it did. Like the Phoenix though, Mixposure has risen again from out of the ashes. This time under new management and a team of dedicated musicians/moderators to make your experience a positive one.

Oh additionally, if you have links on the internet to your old mix page, make sure you use the same band name so your links become active again. If you are an existing member here and need a name change, please let me know.

Hey guys! In a month or so as we mentioned not long ago, Mixposure will be doing a change over to the way the site handles videos and music.

What we will be adding is a conversion server. What this means is that all videos, regardless of format will convert to flash. This is the same as YouTube. So you will be able to upload avi, mwv, mpeg etc. and we will automatically convert it to flash format behnd the scenes. This allows us to switch to one video player for Mixposure. It is a lot easier for us to manange not to mention flash is a smaller format.

As for MP3's it would be like soundclick. Upload wav or 320k mp3's and the files will convert to 192k mp3's.

In the mean time, I thought I would throw up some randow videos!

Gina has the biggest heart and passion of anyone when it comes to Indie/Unsigned Artist's music. So, I am looking forward to her introduction to this great Center Stage Presentation, you will most certainly enjoy (and thanks to Rick for recording it)!!!

Will Carroll describes his influences to be: Beatles Little Feat Laura Nyro Brian Auger! You know what, this is a short list but a super list of influences! The thing about Will is that he has a way of taking "influences" and make them their own NEW influence on someone else!

I'll add a tune toward the end of the show. Too many DAY JOB working hours prevent me from listening to most of the new music. SO, this show will be a weird one, but a good one!!!

I do this post periodically because i think a lot of people forget and we always have new people who are not aware we have it! Since we are paying for it, we might as well use it .

When we owned the Guitaristworks.com domain we kept the server around so our members could upload zipped files when doing collabs or having Kent (Venuestudio) mix songs for them. We have a huge amount of hard drive and bandwidth space on there so please use it accordingly. Please read the post here in the Help Mix My Song Forum which has more information.

Well, as I've said numerous times.......I love to listen as much as I love to play, and I now I get to have fun promoting again, as in the days of working in the record stores. I LOVE finding new artists and new music and I have found MIXPOSURE to be a GOLDMINE for PROGRESSIVE ROCK MUSIC.

I hope this Prog Rock Genre Thing catches on and we can do things to make it interactive. How? I don't know, but suggestions.....volunteers.....ideas.....anything willbe GREATLY appreciated. In the meantime, my half-brain will be working away to come up with things to do or ways to promote our GREAT ARTISTS.
