the three memebers of green day are tre cool (frank edwin wright 3)drummer
billie joe armstrong guistarist and lead vocals, and mike dirnt (micheal ryan pritchard) bass and backup vocals
green day were origanly known as sweet children but they changed it to green day before there first EP 39 smooth was released. they named there EP afetr billie joe\'s older brother \"he had just turned 39 and he was a smooth character\" tre cool. tre cool did not join till 1991 after green days original drummer al sobront left to go to colage. billie joes father passed away whn he was 10 from lung cancer and gave billie joe his now favorite guitar he class blue. mike dirnt used to rents a room from billie joes mother. mike dirnt was one of the few friends billie joe has that knew him before his father passed away. billie joe met his wife and married her in 1995 the day after the wedding adriene( billies wife) found out she was pregnant with teher first son joseph, billie joe has a anotehr son jackob danger. mike has a daughter named estelle but his nickname for her is hero, mike has been married 3 times. tre cool has a daughter romana( named after the romones), and a son named frankito(in german it means little frank) and he was married twice.
