Ms.Badu was born in Dallas, Texas in 1972 as Erykah Wright. At the tender age of four Erykah used to perform on stage with her mother Kolleen Wright. Ms.Wright was a professional actress. Erykah attended Booker T. Washington high school, Then after finishing high school, she went on to Grambling State, She then renamed herself to Badu. Ms.Badu teamed up with her cousin and they made a 19 song demo. Erykah Badu had a love intrest with Andre from Out Kast and from that she bore a son, Seven Sirius. She has done several video cameo's as well as Soap Opera and Blues Brother 2000 and her career has been soaring since.
