Wicked inna Dance Hall (Rohit, 1990?)

Rohit, the king of generic dancehall collections, returns with another yawner.  Only the sing-songy "Dancehall Memories" is even remotely interesting; the rest isn't worth mentioning.  It's sad to see a pioneer of the dancehall genre like Wayne Smith -- who basically started the modern dancehall sound himself with 1985's legendary "Under Mi Sleng Teng" -- put out such banal material, but as far as I'm concerned, I'm only waiting to finish this review before I sell this CD.
