This Is Exploding - Until The Next Red Light
|
Yes This Is Exploding music! What a great name for a band, and its perfect for this particular style of rock. Until The Next Red Light is a pedal-to-the-medal ode to the pursuit of life, love, sanity and insanity-whichever the case may be, but not necessarily in that order.
This punk-alternative-rock band comes at you with both barrels smoking. Joshua Jesty is the front man with the typical off key gritty vocals and wham bam guitar lines that set the music ablaze from start to finish. It comes as no surprise that “A Lust Song” is the most high-energy emotive track, hey, just look at the title, enough said. I think that track really typifies this band’s sound and style for most of the album.
As this recording goes through its paces and keeps your eyes bugging out of your head, a surprise comes along, the curtain closer “Mourning,” it is a melodic and tasty rocker, showing a side of the group that is a surprise after listening to the previous nine songs. Not only can they play with angst and high-energy, they can produce music that has catchy rhythms and polish, which tells me there is much more to come from this band. This was a fun album to listen to and I am optimistic about this band’s future. Remember, you don’t have to stop listening Until The Next Red Light.
