Elvy Rose - Things I Do For You
|
 Elvy Rose’s experience spans over twenty years. Her background is a literal cornucopia of talents ranging from Top 40 bands to jazz, musicals, studio recording, musical theater, music videos and Vegas revues. She has received rave reviews from fans and professionals in the music business.
Elvy's ability to sing in Spanish, Portuguese and French make her a crossover phenomenon. On her varied new album Things I Do For You, she reaches into her wellspring of talents and uses it to make an album that is both diverse and appealing to a large audience consisting of many age groups. The hispanic listeners will surely appreciate her five tracks (9-13) especially for them. I do have to say, although I did not understand what she was singing, she sounded great and I enjoyed it all just the same. She does a nice job with the standards such as “It Don’t Mean A Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing,” “Teach Me Tonight” and “My Funny Valentine.” I would like to hear an album with her singing along to a Spanish Flamenco guitar with all original tracks on her next outing, that would be extraordinary and I hope she considers going in that direction as she certainly has the talent and staying power to do so.
Whether you can appreciate a great jazz vocalist like Ella Fitzgerald or a Latin-Pop diva like Gloria Estefan, you will find a place in your heart and listening range where Elvy Rose fits in.
Her talent is undeniable with an appeal that is far reaching, something that many artists that are more popular lack, now that is something to think about for a minute isn’t it?
Her last name is perfect, Rose, she blossoms like one on this buena recording. It will bring a smile to your face and a warmth and happiness to your soul. This is good music.
