California Guitar Trio - A Christmas Album

 California Guitar Trio is instrumentally yours this Holiday season with “A Christmas Album.” There is the expected and unexpected on this wonderfully warm and beautiful instrumental tribute to our most special holiday. Just as Christmas is universal, their music communicates that very worldliness of spirit and hope.
There are the traditional songs like “Oh Christmas Tree, “Jingle Bells,” and “Silent Night” to make you feel all warm and toasty. Each track has the trademark CTG stamp to give each song some originality whilst maintaining its timeless traditional sound. “Happy Xmas (War is Over)” by John Lennon and Yoko Ono is done very well, with the spirit of Lennon’s soul hanging on every note. “Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence” was very gratifying; I felt that I was bouncing back and forth between a Christmas song and a patented CTG instrumental, which of course is the way they want you to feel while listening. Most of the time I did feel that way and that is why I enjoyed this CD so much.
Get this CD if you like CTG, Christmas music, or both, just get it. It would make a nice stocking stuffer for the music lover in your home.
