The Red Tape Machine - Anonima Sound Limited
|
I found the sound of Anonima Sound Limited different and original for a band that was tagged as progressive. Actually, I cannot see why they fell into the progressive category; the only instrument that came close to making them sound as such was the flute, which was not utilized in such a way that many progressive bands would or did.
I think they were an above average rock-pop band that sounded incredibly westernized being that they originated from Italy. I am sure that was intentional for marketing purposes.
This band provided a consistent and pleasant listening experience that would prompt you to give it another spin on your turntable. I did not hear anything extraordinary or out of the ordinary but found that they were a talented and solid band worthy enough to give your consideration. I am sure progressive rock historians would be interested in investigating another link to the long lineage of Italian prog bands.
